Your AWS console offers an AWS Tag Editor for tagging different resources. You can search globally and edit tags in bulk, all with a couple of clicks. Tagging provides a way for organizations to identify various resources on AWS. In this example, we’ll search All regions. On the Tag Editor page, start by selecting the regions where you want to find resources. Then click Tag Editor in the left-hand navigation under Tagging. With Tag Editor, you can search for the resources that you want to tag, and then manage tags for the resources in your search results. The new Tag Editor allows you to easily manage tags across services and Regions. To use Tag Editor, go to your AWS Management Console, search for and click AWS Resource Groups & Tag Editor. AWS Resource Groups Tag Editor allows you to add tags to or edit or delete tags of multiple AWS resources at once.

Resource Groups allow you to easily create, maintain, and view a collection of resources that share common tags. Today we are making tags even more useful with the introduction of a pair of new features: Resource Groups and a Tag Editor. For example, you can tag relevant resources and then take advantage AWS Cost Allocation for Customer Bills. Tags are used to label, collect, and organize resources and become increasingly important as you use AWS in larger and more sophisticated ways.

For many years, AWS customers have used tags to organize their EC2 resources (instances, images, load balancers, security groups, and so forth), RDS resources (DB instances, option groups, and more), VPC resources (gateways, option sets, network ACLS, subnets, and the like) Route 53 health checks, and S3 buckets.
